On Thursday, he inaugurated 173 police, home defense corps, fire brigade buildings and laid the foundation stone of 150 police buildings through remote. The Chief Minister also inspected the newly constructed administrative building and residential complex of the Special Security Team.
Chief Minister said- 174 buildings were inaugurated
Addressing the program organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that 174 buildings have been inaugurated, the cost of which is Rs 342 crore 31 lakh, in which 74 police station buildings, Patna Special Security Force administrative building and residential complex, Bihar Police Under Office Building of Service Commission and Central Selection Board (Constable) Recruitment, Training Institute for Home Defense Corps in Hajipur, Office Building of Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, Building of State Cyber Crime Forensic Laboratories cum Training Center in Patna and Special Armed Forces in 08 districts Barracks, administrative buildings, training, class rooms etc. have been inaugurated for the police force. Along with this, the foundation stone of 150 buildings has been laid, the cost of which is Rs 684 crore 17 lakh. This includes 108 police station buildings, the office of the senior superintendent of police in Darbhanga, constable barracks in Khagaria, Lakhisarai and Saran and the office and residential complex of the Home Defense Corps in Nawada. He said that the administrative building and residential complex of Special Security Force has been constructed, the cost of which is Rs 22 crore 74 lakh. The cost of the office building of Bihar Police Under Service Commission and Central Selection Board (Constable) recruitment is Rs 8 crore 16 lakh.
All facilities for women have to be made available in the police stations.
The Chief Minister said that we had said earlier that the police stations which do not have their own buildings should be constructed soon. Police station buildings have been constructed on a large scale. The construction work of the buildings of the remaining four police stations should also be completed expeditiously. We got the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation started in the year 2007, which was earlier being closed. It is working better. Many good buildings have been built by the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation. Complete the construction work of the buildings which are under construction. Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation has to keep working in a better way. Attention has also to be maintained on the maintenance of newly constructed buildings. If more officers and employees are required for this, then they should also be reinstated. In the year 2021, we had said that if the remaining work is not completed soon, then I will not come to the programme. You people have completed the work, so I have again come to your program today. He said that we ourselves go and see that the work is done properly. No other state has as many women police as Bihar has. Earlier the condition of police buildings was not good but today its condition has become good. All facilities for women have to be made available in police stations. The police station building has also been made beautiful. Arrangements have also been made to stay above the police station.
We have fixed the landline system in all the police stations
The Chief Minister said that we have fixed the landline system in all the police stations so that it can be known whether the police are on duty or not. Always keep the landline functional in all the police stations. Officers keep going to the area to inquire about the situation. Patrolling day and night for the safety of the people and see that no one commits any crime. He said that some day we will also reach the police station during surprise inspection. We will also inspect the duty of the office bearers. If you catch an accused, keep him properly in the police station. He said that we should implement the suggestions given by us and work well. The one who has been given the work should do his work honestly. If someone messes up, then take action on it. We all have a lot of faith in the police. May you always be active. Whatever old work has been done, also keep it safe. Nowadays people are working more on mobile, make good use of mobile as well as use paper. He said that the remaining vacancies should be filled as soon as possible. Those who are reinstated, their training should also be done properly.
